PLEASE NOTE: Magic City Disco is NOT a dance class. It is a social and performance club devoted to disco dancing. There are different membership levels. Performers dance and parade, and Support provide water, carry signs, engage with the crowd, and ensure events are safe and fun! Both Performers and Support members may attend practice and have access to our Dance Library and member website. However, auditions are required to perform, and those chosen to perform have a different membership fee. Once we receive your application, details about recruitment, open practices, and auditions will be provided.

Magic City Disco) is about dancing and spreading joy. Members of Magic City Disco embrace the following:
 a love of disco
 a desire to share that joy with others
 an understanding that there is NO discrimination against any other person due to race, age, sexual orientation, sports team, religion, lack of religion, or political affiliation
We respect one another’s opinions, but we do not discuss ANY potentially divisive topics at practice or performances.

Membership Levels/Audition Process:
 Support Membership: The cost is $150 for this level of membership. Members have access to the dance library and website, and are invited to all practices. They may sign up to assist with parades and performances.
 All members join at the Support level. Members who are successful in the auditions held in May join as Support for 90 days, during which time they attend 75% of practices and learn dances from the dance library. We have found this is the best way to “try us on”! If they meet those requirements, they may continue at the Performer level. They will pay the additional fees for this Membership level, and order a performer’s uniform (at their own expense ~ $200-$300).
 At 90 days, if a member who auditioned and was successful at the Performer level is not able to advance, either due to inability to commit to practice or pay fees as required, the member may (1) remain in a Support role or (2) receive a refund of the Support Membership fee, withdraw from the group, and consider an audition for the next Season. Fees after 90 days are not refundable.
